What's going on here?

The purpose of this site is to be a kind of "off-line" memory for me. In the process of learning how-to run my own business (and I expect it will be a lifelong process), I know I'll be discovering a lot of resources and good ideas so I thought I might as well document it where it's easy for me  (and anyone else) to find later. Also, I'd like to write more and this should give me an endless amount to write about.

Things I plan to write about will be

• Books I'm reading (or videos I'm watching) to help me run my business
• Business tips I'm learning
• Things I've tried that failed
• Things I've tried that worked
• Things I've tried that seemed to make no difference or are complete wastes of time

Since my business ventures into photography, filmmaking/videography, music and art I may talk about some things related to those areas but I don't plan on writing a lot about gear or technique unless it's related to the business in some way; unless it's to say something is great — get it now, or something sucks — avoid at all costs.
